★ OUR STORY ★
ABOUT THE CARLTON COUNTY FAIR
For generations, the Carlton County Fair has been the heartbeat of our community. We're a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to keeping it free and open for every family in Carlton County.
Our Mission Statement
To preserve and strengthen the Carlton County Fair as a free, community-owned tradition — ensuring that every family, regardless of income, can walk through the gates and experience the joy, heritage, and connection that the fair has provided for generations.
OUR MISSION
Friends of the Carlton County Fair exists for one reason: to make sure every person in Carlton County can walk through the gates of their fair — no matter their circumstances.
We are a volunteer-driven, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Every dollar we raise goes directly toward funding free gate admission so that the fair remains a place where the whole community comes together.
The fair is more than rides and funnel cakes. It's where kids show their 4-H animals for the first time, where neighbors reconnect after a long winter, and where Carlton County's agricultural heritage is celebrated and passed on to the next generation.
We believe access to community events should never be gated by a family's financial situation. By fundraising year-round through donations, sponsorships, and community partnerships, we work to eliminate that barrier entirely — so the only thing standing between a Carlton County family and their fair is the drive to get there.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Community First
Every decision we make puts the Carlton County community at the center. The fair belongs to all of us.
Open to Everyone
We believe no family should miss the fair because of the cost of admission. Access is our core commitment.
Celebrating Heritage
The fair honors Carlton County's agricultural roots and the hard work of our farmers, ranchers, and 4-H youth.
Volunteer Powered
Our organization runs on the passion and dedication of community volunteers who love this fair as much as you do.
A FAIR WITH DEEP ROOTS
The Carlton County Fair has been a beloved tradition for over a century. What began as a small gathering of local farmers and families has grown into one of the most anticipated events on the Carlton County calendar each summer.
Every August, the fairgrounds come alive with livestock shows, carnival rides, live music, local food vendors, and competitions that showcase the talent and hard work of our community's youth and adults alike.
Friends of the Carlton County Fair was founded to ensure that rising costs never become a barrier between our neighbors and this cherished tradition. Together, we're writing the next chapter.
